When I first lay my eyes on this piece, I thought "Wow, that is beautiful. She used such simple objects, but but they're so beautiful."
What i say is true. You chose a magnificent subject as your foreground center piece, the texture of the glass really does delicately beautiful things to the christmas light glowing behind it.
Not to mention your attention to even what the jar(?) is sitting on: two other glass jars. They not only do a good job of absorbing the bright lights in the mid-ground, but they also do a great job of absorbing some of the black and dark red from the background, keeping the main subject from popping out too much.
My favorite part is your whimsical, willy nilly pattern of hues, brightnesses, saturations, and plot. It's so scatterbrained and innocent, almost, it seems like they have character, even when they are just Christmas lights.
Bravo.
